After about 18 months of visiting churches in the Hollywood expanded area, I went to First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood, and believe I finally found an evangelical church that will become my church home. My experience was excellent… Pastor Dan Baumgartner gave a spirit filled sermon based on Biblical teachings. The congregation is well balance as to nationalities and friendly. Definitely did not appear to have little social clicks.

After reading the blog on an apparent group of former members, I thought my visit to FBCH may be another dry run, then noticed the post was over ten years old and wanted to see for myself. If the people responsible for the negative publication are Believers, I would hope they consider removing the blog, which appears to be sour grapes. They focused on loss of members, bad financial management, etc. Thankfully things have changed dramatically in the past ten years. I just reviewed FPCH’s online financial statement for 2012 and their operating surplus is in excess of $593,000. God be praised!

I strongly recommend if you are looking for spiritual church that you read Wikipedia’s excellent coverage on First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood and visit one Sunday.

Finally, rejection is painful and it is regretful the gentlemen who made a negative post in this website felt mistreated. Hopefully, he will return for another visit. His next visit may be a real joy. We should all have a forgiving spirit and focus on seeking God.
