Provided by YP.comWonderful place for learning and culture. The educators were very knowledgeable and passionate about their work to explain. It’s a very hand on interactive museum great for kids and families. Exhibits top rank wowing the crowd, the fossils are done by volunteers. Project 23 is there current project since 2006 and to see them work is a sight to see. Return for sure!

Provided by YP.comThe La Brea Tar Pits are a fun place to visit for free in LA. It is a relatively small museum, but that is actually what I love about it. We are able to go to the Tar Pits and then hit up LACMA for a few hours in the afternoon or go find yummy food at one of the many food trucks that parks outside. The huge lawn allows for plenty of people to picnic and have fun...just keep an eye out for tar.

Provided by YP.comI've heard about La Brea for as long as I can remember but this was my first visit. I have to say, it was very interesting and educational. I loved learning more about the history of the area and the tar pits. Seeing the ongoing excavations was also really cool.
