Provided by YP.comNeapolitan pizza has become a popular food in LA during the last 5 years. I've had a few around town, but I would say L'Antica is as good as neapolitan pizza can get. It matches the taste and quality of the neapolitan pizzas I've had at Bestia and Sotto (which are also some of the top ones in the city). The difference being that the pizzas here are huge (from what they told me, based on the design of a Roman chariot wheel. Interesting).
When I came here, I had their margarita and marinara pizza. Both were great. The dough was tasty, the tomato sauce was amazing, and the cheese was mindblowing (being imported from a region in Italy). The pizza had a nice fragrance to it. I was able to also try some of their breakfast snack items including their banana bread and chocolate croissants, which were impeccable. Well done.
Overall, I must admit that L'Antica Pizzeria was one of the most enjoyable and tasty Italian pizza experiences I've had in LA. Even the decor was fantastic, so chic and so homey at the same time. Their pizza station is pretty cool. You can actually see the chefs making the pizza from outside. If you are in the Hollywood area and are looking for great pizza, try this place. Especially if you've been to the original L'Antica in Naples, then you have to come here. It's the taste of authentic Naples pizza in Los Angeles.
When I was here, I documented my experiences on my YouTube channel called Rockstar Eater, where you can see the entire overview of L'Antica in Hollywood
