Operation School Bell is an initiative that is run by Members of the Anne Banning Auxiliary of Assistance League of Southern California (ALSC). Based in Los Angeles, Calif., it provides new clothing, shoes and personal grooming products to children from families with extreme need. The organization serves over 5,500 children in more than 700 schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). Each child receives a full week's supply of new school clothing and a personal grooming kit containing soap, brush, comb, toothbrush and toothpaste.
