The Original Pho in Koreatown....

The Original Pho in Koreatown.

I went to this place a couple of times in 1998. It was different than the regular Vietnamese Pho restaurant in Chinatown, Monterey Park, Alhambra and other place where the Vietnamese were at. But in Koreatown, the Vietnamese did not got a foot hold here yet. This was the Original Pho restaurant in Koreatown, owned and operated by Koreans.

It was similar to the Vietnamese Pho but has it's own originality that suit the Korean taste. And after having had Vietnamese Pho Vietnamese style, it is interesting to try it different style the Korean way.

But after the couple of time I went to this restaurant, for some reasons the place just got too busy with no room for parking. Being that it is too crowded for me to find parking and I am not going to fight tooth & nail to find parking just to get a bowl of Pho, Thus I did not came here again. And now I wonder if it was the swarming tactics used by some business to keep customers away from a competitor business, thus keeping me away from this O.G. Korean Pho Restaurant.

In any case I stop eating here and later notice that there are Vietnamese Pho restaurants, owns by Vietnamese and not Korean, popping up all over Koreatown.

So if you want to eat Pho in Koreatown and want to get a feel of Korea, go tho this Pho restaurant in Koreatown. There are others Pho restaurants in Koreatown that has reviewers who are shills that say they are own by korean such as Pho 2000, but it is a lies. The only O.G. Korean Pho restaurant that I know first hand is this restaurant.

If you are going to be in Koreatown, then eat at this OG Korean Pho.
