Established in 1933, Screen Actors Guild is one of the largest labor unions representing working actors in the United States. Located in Los Angeles, Calif., the company operates for improving working conditions, compensation and benefits of actors. With 20 branches nationwide, it represents more than 125,000 actors working in film and digital television programs, motion pictures, commercials, video games, music videos, industrials and all new media formats. Screen Actors Guild is an affiliate of the AFL-CIO. Its partners include SAG Indie, The American Federation of Musicians of the United States and Canada, Margaret Herrick Library at the AMPAS and The Museum of Television and Radio among others.
