In operation for more than 30 years, Samra University is one of the oldest schools of Oriental medicine in the United States. It is a private, nonprofit corporation that offers a range of educational programs. The university is approved by the California Department of Education and offers master s and doctoral degree programs. Its programs are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Schools of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. The university provides instructions in English, Mandarin Chinese and Korean languages. It conducts classes in acupuncture, clinical work, anatomy, physiology and Chinese medical theory. The university also provides oriental medical therapeutic programs that include instructions in pediatrics, advanced gynecology, ophthalmology, and respiratory, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal psychological disorders. It administers the English as a Second Language program. In addition, Samra University maintains a library.

I had my first session (except for back in the nineties) last week. I was impressed with the cordiality and professionalism of the staff and the treating doctor. I might add that my primary complaint was hearing loss, and already, I am noticing an improvement.
