Silvestri California was founded in 1934 as Silvestri Studio by Serafino Silvestri. Originally, the company manufactured props and sets for movies, such as classics like 'Ben Hur' and 'Cleopatra,' with later production for television shows such as 'I Love Lucy'. Silvestri California manufactures a full range of products fabricated in fiberglass, urethane, casting resin, wood and metal. The products produced range from an 8-inch tall decorative vase to a 35-foot tall cartoon character. In addition to the catalog items, Silvestri is capable of custom design and fabrication of mannequins, forms, fixtures, counter tops, decoratives and architectural items. The company serves an international market, which includes department stores and specialty retailers, shopping malls, theme parks, production companies and hotels.
