THANKS SOLTER PLASTICS!!! First, they have a ton of colors, and sizes that I couldn't find anywhere else. Second, they made a custom desktop in a 1 inch thick light blue that was AMAZING. They fabricated the piece in 1 day and it looks amazing. I have now done business with Solter Plastics three times, and they have delivered great service, pricing, and products on each occasion. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

I'm inclined to agree with the large majority of reviews: This is quite possibly the worst-run business--of any kind--that I've ever found. Even one star is three too many, and not because of their products or selection, but because of the people running this Company.



My Solter Experience: I purchased eight 4' x 8' colored plexiglas sheets for a studio advertising photo shoot set. The Art Director wanted to see both black and white sheets placed in the set we were building before making a final decision as to which color plexiglas to use. Well, these things are expensive, so when I explained the situation to Bill at Solter he told me that I could simply take four of each color and return any unused sheets after the shoot for a full refund. Hey--great idea. What could possibly go wrong?



A couple of days later I drove to the rear of the store and started to unload the three unused sheets. The kid working out back asked what I was doing and I explained that I was making a return. He immediately ran to get the boss, Bill, who came to the back door and proceeded to completely (and hysterically, I might add) deny that he had ever told me I could return anything. Since the charge for all of the sheets had already cleared Amex, I ended up having to pay for the extra sheets myself.



Not only that, since I had no place to store three heavy, fragile 4'x 8' plexiglas sheets, I ended up leaving them at Solter. The kid working in the back happily took them inside the store to be sold to the next victim.



Do yourself a favor and find someplace else--anyplace else--to conduct your business.

I will never walk into this store again, Neither should you!!!

These guys are rude, unfriendly and act like they're doing you a favor by selling you OVERPRICED plastic. The lady customer in the store ahead of me was just about in tears. Now I know why. They make you wrong, they cut my plastic (overpriced but willing to pay it) to the wrong dimensions, even though they had a perfect drawing to go by. When I showed them their mistake, they wanted to triple the price, because they would have to cut a fresh piece. All the time I spent their was wasted and aggravating. Please do the community a favor and don't shop at Solter. The faster they go out of business the better WLA will be.

I was being waited on by the assistant. I needed 12 pieces cut for over $100, and 12 tiny knobs for $2 or $3. While the assistant was cutting my order, the owner insisted on running my credit card. The assistant came out with my cut pieces and went to get my knobs, and while he was in the back, 3 more customers walked in. When the assistant returned with a knob to show me, the owner said he didn't have time to sell them to me. I said I'd pay cash, but he shot back he had 3 customers waiting and he didn't have time for such a small order!



The merchandise is greatly over priced, and the owner was unwilling to take a couple of extra minutes to have a satisfied customer.
