They charge you for every repair order, and try to steal money from you in every way possible. The landlord is impossible to reach - by phone or in person - and the attitude on display is absolutely atrocious. Like raina b. (below) said, before you sign the lease, they're accommodating - after the signature is down, it's OVER. They WILL charge you for the air you breathe in the apartment, which, by the way, is rundown - the ancient toilet doesn't flush (and they charge you to fix the thing each time), the screens on the windows are torn or nonexistent (charge for that), the faucet in the kitchen doesn't work properly, the carpets are horrid, and the neighbors are from hell. I NEVER WRITE NEGATIVE REVIEWS BUT TRUST ME - STAY AWAY FROM TP PROPERTIES!!!

As you can see from their website, this property management company is geared specifically for the property owners. They pass along every, and I mean 'every', charge, tax, fee that they possibly can. They even write into the lease that the tenant is financially responsible for what any other landlord would call basic maintenance. They charge you for the paint on the bloody walls! On top of all that, their customer service and response time is horrible. It takes days or even weeks to get simple repairs made.
Word to the wise - before you move in - triple check the lease, triple check any previous damage to the apt, and negotiate a lower rent to cover all their hidden fees and charges.

They have managed my apartment building for the past year and I'm so happy to have seasoned professionals handling the day-to-day issues associated with my apartment. Gone are the nights of my having to deal with a building emergency or the headache of dealing with problem tenants. I only wish I had hired Touchstone Properties years ago!
