I arrived promptly for an interview. I used public transportation. The gate guard stated that interviews were at least 2 miles away. My computer told me that the interview address was 4700 S. Eastern Ave. I was dressed in a suit. I went to the other interview location, and I seemed totally overdressed. I was told that I was overdressed. I was dismissed and told that a UPS interview does not
require a suit. We are trained in our work start program to dress for success. I dressed like it was an interview with a Federal agency. This is not a compliant, but a note instead to bring to attention that some interviewees are likely to ignore parking directions as they take public transportation. I CAN do the job. I'm sorry that I missed an interview with such a good company. I worked in a brickyard for approx. a year and my boss liked my work a lot before a lay off happened to our labor crew. NH
