I had a friend who recently interviewed for a sales job at West LA Music. The guy conducting the interview asked him, among other questions, "Do you have a conscience?" My friend replied yes, as most people would, and the interviewer promptly told him that he'd better get rid of it, because the ONLY goal these employees have is to take the customer's money. No matter what. He was instructed that NOBODY gets a deal, rather they're just supposed to make customers THINK they're getting a deal.



The employees not only lack the product knowledge to help you make an informed decision, but they'll LIE without hesitating as long as they think it'll help make the sale. Considering that the employees are useless (one actually asked if i wanted to be his myspace friend), and the prices NEVER drop below those of the bigger chain stores like Guitar Center, you might as well head to one of these chain stores, where at least you can return the items with no questions asked for up to 45 days. Try that over at West LA music...



I only give two stars because the selection is decent, and if you can get there right after they open on week days, it's usually pretty empty and it can be a good place to compare amps, high end acoustics, and fender relics...IF you can keep the sales vultures at a distance.
