The mission of our practice is to see our patients and their families healthy and happy.   We implement integrative medicine, which blends conventional Western medicine with a whole person approach.   Dr.Yam doesn’t see the disease as a random event that can be easily fixed with a dose of medication. Instead, she looks at the complex interacting factors that caused the problem- which are not always obvious from the first glance. Because she strongly believes in a preventive approach, and being a good psychologist Dr. Yam is able recognize very faint signs of upcoming problems and council parents before serious problem arise.   Thanks to her extensive medical experience and established points of view Dr. Yam always finds a personalized connection with each family by considering their beliefs, backgrounds, and cultural nuances.  For example, although she strongly believes in vaccinations, Dr. Yam is always open to discuss any concerns the parents might have. We even develop individualized immunization schedules to make parents more confident with their decisions. Basically, we are committed to providing a comfortable and healthy environment for our patients and their families.
