Sandhill Child Development Center is the most exceptional residential treatment for highly disturbed children and teens. They are number one for successful treatment of Reactive Attachment Disorder, which is very hard to treat. They integrate modalities in a way that is highly successful. They keep improving their programs and train and maintain good staff. I have never heard of any misguided staff care in my son's 3 years at Sandhill. Sandhill is a caring place where developing and maintaining positive relationships is the first priority. They have effective treatments that help students learn to regulate their emotions and behavior without denigration, shaming, or gaming a point system. This treatment center is worth the distance and travel needed, because they actually create immense positive change in the children and teens they treat. They have my highest recommendation.
