My beloved beagle went to Dr. Park with swollen glands and a cough. She diagnosed him with skin cancer and allergies. She didn't do a chest X-ray or anything to see if it might be more. She gave him allergy pills and sent him home. Over the next few weeks the glands and cough did not get any better. I called her office several times and each time was told the doctor already diagnosed him with allergies and to give him the pills she prescribed. Her staff treated me rudely and acted as if my questions and concerns had no merit because I was not a vet. I took Sam for a second opinion. Sam does NOT have allergies -- he has cancer. In his lymph nodes -- the very thing he saw Dr. Park for in the first place. He has 8 tumors and now has to se a veterinary oncologist to see if there is anything we can do to prolong his life since we did not catch the cancer in time. Is this a risk you are willing to take with your animal?
