Brand new Stihl chainsaw. After about 20 minutes of use cutting softwood Pinion Pine at 7800 feet, the chain started smoking and no oil seemed to be making it to the chain. Brought in for warranty service for the oiler, and the store owner, rather than trying to understand the cause of problem and suggest a solution, simply informed me that there was nothing wrong with the saw and that chains dull to the point of un-usability in a few minutes when cutting softwood pine. I decided then and there to return the saw simply because of the arrogant attitude of the owner of this business. I had expected a lot more from an authorized Stihl dealership. For the privilege of not putting up with this guys attitude, I was charged restocking fee of over $100. This was perhaps the most needlessly hostile interaction I've ever encountered from a small business for a warranty service repair. Think twice before giving this business your money.

I was in the middle of a job and the trimmer died. Just locked up. went to the truck to grab the other one and that one would not start. I went by in a panic and they not only put me at ease but were able to get them both running in no time. They explained why they were having issues and what to do to keep it from happening again. thalk about knowing their stuff.
