The first review is hilarious. "lairs and cheaters"... really?? You sure you shouldn't be directing that review towards yourself? Take responsibility for your own actions Eric. It's called fill the tank. Now onto our own experience... We moved across the country, found Empire Storage (thankfully), met with the owner on one of our trips to Colorado. He very graciously helped us sort everything out and plan for the units and equipment we would be needing. We now have 8 storage units with them. We just hit our first year with them this past January (2017) and not once ever had a billing issue, not once ever had communication issues, etc. Every time we needed help, they were there and they continue to be there. I've checked out several storage facilities and this is by far the most secure, most comfortable, most appreciative of your business, has the best access hours, has plenty of room for a large truck, tons of lighting and free equipment to use as you load and unload, etc. We couldn't be happier.

Provided by YP.comI rented two storage units from Empire Storage for about 15 months. The people could not have been nicer. Doug and his wife went out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. The units are clean and well maintained. The alarm system made me feel secure about my belongings. There was always someone there to help if I needed it.

Liars and Thieves. I support small business in Boulder county, but we cannot tolerate business practices like this.After filling up the Uhaul truck with gas (just 3 miles from Empire Storage) I dropped off the uhaul at Empire Storage after hours. And there was my mistake. I received no follow up call or email, but a week later a charge for $10 appears on my credit card.I called to inquire 1) why I was not notified of additional charges and 2) what the original charge was for. I was told it was gas charge. After discussing, the person on the phone agreed the gauge on this particular truck does not have as many markings (it marks in 1/8ths instead of 16th) so where I believed it was 5/8ths full, they viewed it as 9/16th full and charged me for three gallons of gas. No kidding, all this over 1/16th a tank of gas. The person the phone told me they would refund my $10.I waited 10 days but no refund showed up on my credit card. I called back in and talked to who I believe is the owner. He was very rude and insisted I was wrong and owed him the $10. After debating over this silly matter he agreed to refund the $10 only after I told him I would take this issue public. He wrote down my address and was going to send a check.I've given this company every benefit of the doubt. Now after waiting a month for my check which I never received I've decided to let the public know about these unscrupulous billing practices AND their lack of follow through to resolve issues. This review is not about $10, it is about liars and cheats. Do not use Empire Storage for any of your needs.
