THEY GOTTA GO GET IT!!! why wouldn't you just tell your customers someone has to go get (said) items???

Provided by YP.comEvery appliance in my house has come from Bargain Supply for the last 20 years, plus a few tools, decorative items, and various other things I find there. The staff are friendly and helpful. I have always received fair prices on appliances, whether they were new-out-of-the-box or scratch-&-dent models. They have gone out of their way to make me feel like a valued customer. I always visit Bargain Supply whenever I have a need for household appliances.

Provided by YP.comThe purchases I reference below were made at some point in August/September of 2009. I do not remember the exact price to the dollar, but the prices I give are not off by more than $10 to $20 dollars.
I went to Bargain Supply on the recommendation of some of my friends. They told me I could get great deals there. I just bought my first house in Aug of '09 and needed to get a refrigerator, oven and microwave. If I hadn't researched the products I bought I would have been burned BAD!!
The fridge I got at a great savings. I couldn't find anything available anywhere that came even close to their price. The Microwave had no discount. I could have purchased it at Lowe's for the same price. The only reason I stuck with Bargain Supply was because I saved on shipping since the microwave was shipped with the fridge. The oven is where I almost got taken to the cleaners. I tried to price the oven and couldn't find it anywhere. When I brought it up to Bargain Supply they told me it was because the oven was made specifically for Lowe's and it wouldn't be something that I could find online. I went to Lowe's and asked them to look up the model and price it for me. Turns out the oven I was getting was a discontinued product and an upgraded model was now available. The old model was being sold by Lowe's BRAND NEW... no dents for $800 and I was being charged $969 for a scratched and dented one at Bargain Supply!!! (a price they claimed was a 25% savings from the original price) I could have also bought the new upgrade model from Lowe's for $996!!! I took my information with me to Bargain Supply and told me they had ripped me off (I had already put a deposit on the order to save them from being bought out from under me). I told them the price I could get it for at Lowe's and they tried to argue with me telling me I was wrong. When I showed them the print out from Lowe's they had no choice but to believe me. The proof was in black and white. They ended up selling me the oven for $689, but that wasn't the 25% discount they were claiming my original price was.
In short... Bargain Supply does have some great deals, but they also majorly stick it to you!! You have to be extremely careful about what you buy and MAKE SURE TO PRICE SHOP!!
I am sorry Bianca feels like we tried to "burn her bad" or "stick it to her" when it came to the purchase of her wall oven. According to her review she got great savings on her refrigerator which she couldn't find anywhere for close to the price we sold it to her. That is what we strive for but unfortunately sometimes a store will have a close-out or sale on an appliance that just doesn't make any sense. This seems to be the case on the wall oven she was looking at. It appears the wall oven was a discontinued model which Lowes obviously wanted to clean out of their inventory so they gave her a ridiculously low price. We had a fair mark-up on the model we had and weren't aware of the fact that it was being replaced by a new model and Lowes was dumping the old model way below normal dealer cost. Once it was brought to our attention by Bianca we were more than happy to give her a better price to keep her as a customer. We have not been in business for over 80 years by "sticking it to people". We would have been happy to give Bianca all her money back so she could go to Lowes to purchase the one they had if that is what she wanted. Obviously, she was happy with the final price at the time even though it didn't quite equal a 25% discount. We are a family owned and operated business that tries as hard as we can to compete with the major chains. As far as the microwave is concerned, I am sure Lowes buys a few more of them a year than we do and therefore buys them at a lower price. I am proud to be able to sell it at the same price and can only hope that a consumer understands how important it is to buy local to keep the money in town.
