Have to add what others have said. Dan Becker is the only person you should let tweek/repair your stringed instrument. He truly is the best at what he does plus a hell of a nice guy!

After reading the one negative response that was posted i felt compelled to write a review. I have had several guitars that I have brought to Dan for repairs and have always been very pleased not only with the service but also with the price. He is fair and straight forward and will tell you if a guitar is worth putting any additional money into. If you truly love your guitars then Dan is the man

Had to respond to negative review. I've known Dan Becker for 10 years - he gets the highest rating I can give. I have bought and sold guitars and amps with him. If you want to buy a guitar, he is the guy. Why? Because he is truly an expert. Every guitar he sells has been carefully evaluated and set up. I've been playing for 40 years and own >25 guitars. I've bought and sold a bunch. I've assembled a couple of really nice strats. That being said, my knowledge doesn't hold a candle to Dan Becker's. If you want the most for selling a guitar, try ebay. If you want to know exactly what you have or what you're getting and want a fair price, go to Dan. If you want your guitar repaired, he is THE MAN!

If you're looking to get a fair price for your used Guitar out this person - approach with caution. For you see, this Man will find just about every reason, every and any reason under the sun, to give you the least amount for you Guitar.



Whether if it's in mint condition... or if it's in decent condition - you're going to get the absolute minimum out of him. Yet... when you walk around and browse what He's got for sale, you'll notice undoubtedly, that just about ever guitar he has for sale, be it generic brands to the very best available, he's got prices on them all around $400.00 or more.



Just keep this in mind, he's nice... but he's also in this to make a quick --- and all too easy buck!

Dan Becker is a master, if you can get in to see him you should definately do it. Do not listen to every guitar shop in town with some flunky in the back screwing with guitars. Believe me, even the guys at the music stores will use this guy. If you have a nice guitar, or even if you don't really, and you want it set up right, this is the only guy in Louisville I would let touch my guitars. He took my HSS American Strat that was awful, and made it like a different guitar. I am writing this review to help out people like me when I was looking for where to find someone. A setup is not just putting stings on, you have to have everything adjusted just right, neck relief, string height, pickup height, saddle/bridge radius, everything. He is reasonably priced and a hell of a nice guy. Thanks Dan!
