Provided by YP.comRecently I took my out of town guests to the Irish Rover for fish and chips. I'd been told they were the "best in town". The service was good, the bread good but I made the mistake of ordering the Welsh Rarebit (melted cheddar cheese sandwich with spices) . I have had the sandwich several times both here and in Ireland. What I got was a cheese sandwich made out of Velvetta-type processed cheese. My guests all agreed it was Velvetta! When I asked the waiter about the cheese, he said the chef had confirmed it was in fact cheddar and American (processed cheese). Gross! Then some man came by to our table and tried to say it was just a cheddar cheese. Most people know processed cheese when they see it. Then we were charged for the sandwich even though I had only taken one bite!
Louisville is small town with a lot of choice in restaurants. Don't choose this one! You'll never know what you'll get.
