Provided by YPmobileWhen I made the initial appointment for my daughter she said $150! I said for a child! She politely said do you want to bring your own hair and I charge you $100!I said yes because I was a cosmetologist and 5 time salon owner in my past which she had no idea! When we arrived at 8am she made us wait at the McDonalds across the street from her house! She called us when she was ready! When we got in her home she tried to change the price back to $150. I said no you told me $100 and that's what I have! Then she loomed at the hair and said was this hair 99 centvi replied and said no it was $1.50. She goes on to say I can't work with this hair thats when I let it roll on her! I said I have been doing hair for over 20 years I am retired now and you can use that hair! I asked her do you want the money or not? Of course she took it she was mean rude she lives in the slums she stopped braiding my daughters hair several times to do God no's what! She does not have any business sense about herself! All her products cost no more than a dollar! How can you want $100 or more dollars from a person and you are hiving them $1 service! She is completely rude and I plan on reporting her to state board and the city of Louisville she has no work permits! She better get it together we in America work and grind hard for ours and we don't just throw money away because someone's hand is out!

Provided by YP.comThe first time I went to Josephine's, my niece got her hair done (Box Braids) Josephine started it, however she was unable to grip my niece hair in the back? Her friend was their and she finished her hair, which it was amazing- My niece even said Josephine braided too tight.. A week later I decided to get my cornrows done, now when I sent her the pic she quoted $120 and she was able to do the style, provide hair etc.. So when I arrived she asked where my hair was at- She got upset because I didn't supply my own! Which she told me she would.. After she began to braid my hair, I am a regular at African hair shops, so I am use to the tightness. When she started braiding it was so TIGHT- I was barley able to swallow or bend my hair down- I asked if she could be more gentle and she got upset with me, saying to never come back! Like seriously lady? You're hurting me- Once she finished she said $160!!! What? I had to pull out my phone- She tried to say I WAS CHEATING HER... Ladies please be aware of this lady!!! Luckily I was bale to find someone decent in Louisville.

Provided by YPmobileWent to this lady and it was a terrible experience. House was Dirty & smelled. She stopped Several times to eat and no Exaggeration Literally Chewed and smacked in my ear for 3 Hours! Didnt wash my hair before, Ripped pieces out of my hair trying to part, Did not sit under a dryer and Continually asked if I wanted to go home and to let "Air Dry". Very unprofessional and doesn't even get a Star from me

Provided by YP.comThis woman is very unprofessional - from start to finish. She never told me how much it was going to cost for Crochet Braids until the day she was doing my hair. Her house was dirty and smelly, she could barely speak English and she had company over for a little and I had to wait until they were done doing whatever they were doing in the kitchen for 30 minutes. I asked her if she could wash my hair when I made the appointment with her. she ended up washing my hair in her bathroom sink and used a dirty pail and a bowl to wash and condition my hair. I'm a natural, so after she dried my hair with a Dollar General blow dryer, she did not detangled it at all. She just brushed through it and braided it while it was in a tangled state. Of course at this point, I should have said something, but I stayed because I just wanted my hair done. Here's the good part - half way through doing my hair (which took about 12 hours) she tells me that I didn't buy the correct kind of hair for the style I wanted. She said I bought kinky hair instead of marley hair. I asked her what to do from that point, and from what I could hardly gather from her poor English, she said she would figure it out. When she got done installing the kinky hair, she would brush small sections before setting it on a roller. When she got to the top of my head, she ended up brushing it too hard and completely pulled out a patch of my hair. I told her she pulled out my hair and she tried to lie and say she didn't. I waited about five minutes and took a mirror and looked myself - there was definitely a patch missing. She got really quiet and then gave me some crème that was pitch black from Africa and said my hair would grow back really fast. I thought she said my hair was pulled out. Of course, in the end, it looked horrible and I have the pictures to prove it. In order to for the hair to hold a curl, you have to roll it on a roller, and in her case, use yarn to roll it and dip it in boiling hot water. She kept burning me, and every time I jumped she would breathe hard like I was bother HER. When she go to the back of my head, I felt like she was seriously burning me and I told her that I felt pain there. She immediately told me that she was burning me and that if I wanted to leave I could. I turned around and looked at her to ask her why she kept asking me if I wanted to go home. She said she knew what she was doing and she didn't know what I wanted. I think she was just embarrassed that she was rough with my hair and completed yanked out a patch while trying to roughly brush it. Either way, I didn't pay her the full amount and then she tried to blame me for how my hair looked, saying that I purchased the wrong hair and that's why it ended up looking the way it did. Please do not use this crazy lady - this was the most horrible hair experience that I have ever had. I will be posting this everywhere I can and pictures if each website will let me. PLEASE BEWARE!
