Kenneth G. Pugh, M.D., M.Sc., is a geriatric medicine physician with Norton Neuroscience Institute Memory Center. He specializes in dementia and geriatric cognitive disorders. Dr. Pugh earned his medical degree from Uniformed Services University F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Bethesda, Maryland, and completed his residency in internal medicine at Navy Regional Medical Center, San Diego, California. He also completed a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Pugh earned master’s degrees in epidemiology from Harvard School of Public Health, Boston, Massachusetts, and dementia neuroscience from University College London Queen Square Institute of Neurology, London, England. Dr. Pugh has over 25 years of experience in the evaluation and management of patients with dementia and geriatric cognitive disorders. Before coming to Norton Neuroscience Institute, Dr. Pugh served 30 years in the U.S. Navy and was the founder and former chief of the geriatric medicine division at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Pugh’s goal is to provide his patients and family members with up-to-date information about their conditions and assist them in making health care choices that align with their goals. Inspired by his various duty stations during his military career, Dr. Pugh has a passion for international travel and enjoys fishing and kayaking. While stationed in Spain, he took up playing Spanish guitar and continues to enjoy learning this art form.
