Our History and Mission Park Community was established in 1965 to serve the employees of General Electric’s Appliance Park in Louisville, Kentucky, hence the name “Park” Federal Credit Union. “Park” continued to grow over the years serving GE employees in other states, and we eventually expanded our services to over 500 Select Employment Groups (SEGs). In 2003, Park became a Community Chartered Credit Union, opening its doors to anyone who lives, works, worships, goes to school, or volunteers in the nine-county Louisville Metro Area. With our new focus on serving the community, we changed our name to Park Community Federal Credit Union."

Horrible with overdraft fees. This bank charges 32.00 for PENDING transactions, even if the transaction never posts to the account. I travel with my job and made a hotel reservation on my card. The hotel put a hold for the cost of the stay on my park account like most hotels do, and the bank charged me 32.00 for that hold which was removed before it ever posted to the account. As the result of this hold, my account was subsequently charged over 200.00 in overdraft fees alone. When I called the manager she told me that since we received our 5 cents in interest, they would not be able to refund me any of the fees. The manager also told me that they were non-profit. I would LOVE to know where all of the money in overdraft fees they are collecting is going.
