Plantation Animal Clinic (Dr. Bond, Dr. Kleinhelter) saved my German Shepherd's life. They are true professionals and care about the animals like their own. My two German Shepherds actually look forward in going to see them.

I have been taking our cat to Plantation for over two years now. She has been seen for a new kitten exam, follow up on an infection, another exam, boarding for a day, and some grooming. I haven't had to receive any major services, thankfully. I do feel that should that ever happen, my fur baby is in the most capable of hands will be tended to with the best of care. Any time I ever have to deal with Plantation it's the most professional and friendly interactions ever. I plan on using plantation for my vet needs for as long as I have my fur baby and we live in the area.

The Veterinarians and all support staff of Plantation Animal Clinic are professional, friendly and helpful.

Our Shih Tzu, Coco, has been going to them for a few years now, and she has always been treated great, with no attempt to run the bill up like I'd experienced at one of the large brand name clinics she had been seeing.

We also purchase are supplies such as HeartGard and flea/tick products at prices that compete with internet online shops.

I want to share my family's ex...

I want to share my family's extreme satisfaction with the excellent care that the doctors and staff of Plantation Animal Clinic (PAC) have provided for our "boys" over many years. Our "boys" are always two male Siamese cats. When I moved to Louisville eight years ago, Dr. Bond was recommended to me to provide veterinary care for Brooks and Taylor, ages 12 and 11. Four years later, Taylor became incurably ill and Dr. Bond came to my home to euthanize him. We cried together. Two years later, she saw Brooks, my husband and me on an emergency basis first thing in the morning after we found Brooks suffering terribly, and we made the same very difficult decision. Again, I held my boy as he took his final breaths and Dr. Bond, my husband and I cried together. We were then without a pair of Siamese cats for the first time in my adult life...until last summer. We finally were ready to open our hearts and home again to the joy a pair of kittens. Siblings Sky and Blue have just celebrated their first birthday. They have been such fun and given so much love -- and they are very healthy. They have been to PAC for all the kitten shots, neutering and declawing. The love and care that the staff, Dr. B and Dr. K have provided for this new pair of boys means everything to me. The quality of care for our animal family is unsurpassed by any veterinary practice that I've used over more than 40 years. Whether caring for my previous "old men" or my current "boy babies," Dr. Bond has provided the excellent knowledge, expertise and affection that I want for my loved ones. No wonder she was voted the #1 veterinarian in metro Louisville by the readers of the Leo Weekly! Obviously, I'm not the only one who knows how great she and her staff really are!

Dr. Bond, Dr. Kleinhelter, and all of the staff at Plantation are wonderful. They have cared for our "kids" for the last 5 years, and we couldn't be happier with the level of care, and compassion they've shown to our older dogs. I would & do whole heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for the kind of care we expect for our pets.

Dr. Bond, Dr. "Courtney" and the staff at Plantation Animal Clinic have been absolutely wonderful to our family. They have met us for emergencies after hours and come to our home to "tend" our older dogs. We've never had any "surprises" regarding costs for tests or medications. I feel very comfortable and confident in the care they give our dogs - and we're "pickier" about their care than our own! I would highly recommend Plantation to anyone who wants excellent care and compassion for their four-legged family members.

We've been satisfied with Plan...

We've been satisfied with Plantation for years, until recently. My cat got sick, and when we made the appointment we were quoted a price of $200 for the exam, bloodwork, and X-ray. When we arrived and the doctor told us we needed bloodwork and an x-ray, we said sure -- because we thought we knew how much it was going to cost. At the end of the visit we were charged $450. The cat is 17 years old, and we never would've agreed to spend that much money just to diagnose her (sad, but true). The doctor decided *for us* how much we could afford and how much we wanted to spend. In a cash-pay business, I can't believe they can get away with this. When I tried to negotiate after the fact, I was told that it was our fault for not asking what the price was, and that we could've refused treatment at any time. We've had so many good experiences there, but by blindsiding us with a bill for half a grand (and a diagnosis of "she's just old"), they ensured that we will NEVER go back there. EVER.

Dear of79cs, I am sorry for the miscommunication that occurred in regards to the phone estimate you received by one of our technicians. Upon examination, I became specifically concerned about pancreatitis which would not have been known with your initial phone call. The best test for pancreatitis is a very specific test that is outside the regular lab work. I would never give a “she’s just old” diagnosis and that’s why I performed the specific diagnostic test which did confirm that your cat had pancreatitis. The difficulty with a phone estimate is that until we actually examine your pet, the best treatment plan is not known. Therefore we have now changed our policy and it is now mandatory for our staff to confer with a doctor before giving an estimate over the phone. I appreciate your input because Plantation strives to provide the best care for your pets and would never intentionally mislead you over the cost of services or lab tests provided. Again I’m sorry for the miscommunication but I am glad to hear your cat is doing well again. Sincerely, Dr. Bond

Fantastic

We went through the life cycle with the wonderful people at Palntation. They cared for our rescued dog for the 13 years we had her and were there with us at the end and then when we got a baby puppy they have helped us raise her for 4 years. They are helpful and have great techs too! We have boarded there and they don't mind us calling to check on our girl. A really homelike place to go.
