Provided by YP.comI give credit where credit is due, but I also speak up when I am unhappy. The website made me think customer satisfaction and a good place to go to handle my laundry needs. What I got was far from that. The owner/caretaker was very unfriendly and hard to find when I needed change/assistance. It went to the point where another customer needed change and could not find the owner/caretaker, turning out to be he "feel asleep" at his shop next store. the owner/caretaker also has dogs walking around that did not look to friendly and looked rather mangy. The website stated snacks and drinks would be able to be purchased and this was not true. I am a person with blood sugar issues, so I am glad I brought some food with me or I would of crashed. Then, there is the shape of the actual laundromat. The floor is disgusting and looks like it has not been cleaned in years. Lots of spider webs, dust mites, and you name it. In addition, there was trash and other stuff laying around. The restroom was fairly clean, however, it did not have any soap to wash my hands or paper towels to dry my hands. Also, more than 50% of the washers and dryers were not working ( which several other customers complained to me about as well). In summary, I will not be returning to this laundromat for my laundry needs until some serious changes are made.
Just to respond to giving credit where credit is due...Wildcatsfan327 made a few observations into something that is not what it seems. First off writing something anonymous on the internet and hiding behind fake screen names is not "SPEAKING UP". Secondly my WEBSITE did reflect a previously successful run I had with this business (in the middle of a failed remodel then and now) and while I CANNOT say my business was as shabby as Wildcatsfan327 sensed, I do know it is in sad shape. (not going to take my WEBSITE down because I am trying to remodel this business) I am a friendly owner only to people that are friendly to me. The Laundromat is not a manned operation with attendent on duty anymore. I worked two jobs at the time trying to keep the Laundromat open as there are many around me going out of business. The hours of the Laundromat were posted as 0800 a.m. till 9:00 P.M. I went to my guard post at 11:00 P.M. 30 miles away and worked Midnight till 8:00 A.M. five days a week; so yes, I was asleep next door. Yes I have a dog walking around the property but She is far from Shabby, she is licensed, shots up to date and healthy. Her name is ED and almost everyone who uses this Laundromat knows her. She is a Brendle colored Austrian Short Haired Shepherd. The visiting dog (my daughter's) was a female Mastiff well cared for named Sexiey that was here from Lexington for a week to play with my dog. Obviously Wildcatsfan327 does not know dogs. MANGY...... you got to be kidding me. Pictures are available to be sent by email to all who ask. MY DOG AIN'T MANGY I DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT THE LAUNDROMAT!!! I would like to point out that I am in the middle of the remodel Wildcatsfan327 happened upon. My floor has been scraped of tile, my ceiling stripped for new drywall and walls torn partially out to build customer counter and service area. Paper towels are in my restroom and no there was no soap at the time except at the deep sink before you get to the restroom. Working equipment............. I have 15 dryers and at that time as now 5 of them were out of service. I also have 21 washers with 6 out of service then and now. I have three uninstalled washers of these 6. I would like to point out that although the Laundromat was and is not a successful money making enterprise I am trying to keep it open to the public the best that I can, because it can be. I know my housekeeping sucks and I will improve that. The machines that are down are down because of VERY costly repairs I cannot afford. I do my own repairs and work at the Laundromat to keep it going. Badly .....maybe but I am open everyday seven days a week most of the time. If customers show up late I don't run them off. If Wildcatsfan327 has something to say to the owner... do it in person and complain where it would do you some good not online unless you are being vindictive because you could not have it your way. Try putting everything you have at risk to run a business that does not even pay you minimum wage, and tell me how you intend to be sharp as a tack at it.
