This is a quick cheap solution for children who can't sit in a chair longer than 10 minutes. This is not a solution for adults who want an actual style. I went in for a simple trim to get my split ends off ( I mean, who could screw up a request to follow an existing cut, right?) and the so-called stylist took it upon herself to slash up to 6 inches off parts of my hair in the back saying that my layers were so uneven. The fact is she knew nothing about the types of layers I had to keep the fullness in long hair and did not take the time to listen to my request to follow the cut I already had. She gave me a choppy, holey A-line mullet that will take years of growth to repair. The few straggly ends that are left of my length will have to come off when a professional starts the repair process. I am furious. I found out later the business model of clip places like this dictates their employees have you in and out of the chair in 15 minutes...regardless what it would actually take to give you a decent cut. Do you blame the sweat shop slaves for poor quality, or the managers who dictate the business model? Save yourself some heartache and find a real stylist who cares about creating a look you want.
