I had an unpleasant experience with a trainer prior to our second week of puppy class. She was rude & condescending while providing unsolicited advice. She didn't introduce herself as a trainer, but proceeded to lecture me about correcting a certain behavior my dog was exhibiting. I didn't appreciate her tone or abruptness. She didn't ask if she could touch my dog or give her a treat. I'm not a first time dog owner and don't want my dog to behave badly. I wasn't ignoring her behavior, nor do I think it was "cute". Had she approached in a constructive & positive manner, I wouldn't be so offended.

On a side note, our trainer is great. Our puppy is doing well & behaves in class. I work with her daily & she's learning fast. I don't get a chance to correct her bad habit at home, because she only does it at school. That is why we are there, to get her socialized & learn how to train her. I'll finish this class but will probably go elsewhere for future training based on this experience.

We put our puppy through the AKC Star Puppy program here. Cindy, our instructor was invaluable, patient and knowledgable. I highly recommend this organization.

It is difficult to find a more knoweledgeable training place in the Rockford, Il area for help in training my sporting and working dog puppies. The instructors seem to be knowledgeable about how to train mine in a humane and efficient way. A couple of my dogs are now champions and I owe it to them and their helpfulness.

What a wonderful and clean facility this is! The instructors have all titled their dogs and they are very willing to work out problems and situations dealing with our pets and show dogs. I have had many wonderful experiences at this training place and always recommend them to all my friends. Friends make friends at the Forest City Dog Training Club.

Forest City Dog Training Club is the best facility in the area for recieving top notch dog training. We've used them for two dogs now and been ver pleased with the facility and instructors!! The class sizes are great, a very nice comfortable, safe, large place to train. Price per 8 week for obedience training session, @ $70.00, is great! Best price of anyone in the area. They welcome you to come and watch classes before you signup you dog for classes. They currenly have a training facility which is approximately 10k sq. ft. w/ mats covering the building. They offer obedience, conformation, rally, and agility training. Recently they just approve the expansion of another 10k sq. ft. making them one of the largest, if not the largest @ 20,000 sq ft training facility in the area.

I would highly recommend them!! Forest City Dog Training Club, which is a AKC affiliated club, has been in business for over 40 yrs which has to say they must be doing something right.
