Rock Cut Elementary School, built in 1967, provides academic programs to more than 450 students in grades one through six. Its staff includes art and music professionals, social workers, special education aides, reading coaches, classroom teachers, librarians, teaching assistants, custodians, and physical and health education instructors. Rock Cut Elementary School operates a learning center that provides supplemental lessons in literature, technology and research, as well as sponsors book fairs. The school is a part of Harlem School District 122, which operates over 10 schools with a total enrollment of nearly 8,000 students. Located in Loves Park, Ill., Rock Cut Elementary School provides transportation, health care and meal services.
