Provided by YP.comMy husband bought a BUSHEL of Macintosh apples for $28.50. While the apples were delicious My husband didn't have any idea what a bushel was let alone how much it should weigh. Our "bushel" weighed in at 39lbs on the commercial scale at our local quick stop. According to the USDA a bushel of apples should weigh 48 POUNDS! We were cheated out of almost 10lbs of apples! For that reason I gave a 2 store rating.
