Tonight our Girl Scout service unit had a bowling party at the local bowling alley. I promised all of my little 1st graders that if they showed up, I would buy the pizza & soft drinks for them so that they wouldn't have to eat before getting there. So, I show up, after a long day at work, and all my girls are hungry. I go to the kitchen to order pizza's & they tell me they are out of pizza dough. I said, "what do you mean you are out of pizza? You knew you were having 125 Girl Scouts here tonight, why would you not be ready?" At this point I am VERY upset so I said, "what do you expect me to do? I promised my girls pizza & by God they are gonna have pizza". The help said, "I don't know what to tell you, they can order something else." Now I am REALLY mad. So, I get on my phone & call one of the local pizza establishments & order pizza for my girls. The pizza arrives & one of the bowling alley staff tells me I can't have it there. I said, "I tried to order from you guys, you were out & my 1st grade little girls are hungry so they are eating." He proceeded to get the manager. She came & told the girls they had to stop eating & we had to take the pizza outside. At this point I was fuming, along with all of my parents. Keep in mind that while we waited for pizza, I ordered 2 pitchers of soda for the girls & 3 baskets of french fries because they were hungry. It's not like we weren't spending money in their establishment. The manager walked away & I told my girls to eat up. LOL. I was NOT having them go hungry. Was I wrong? There are several of us that will never go there again.

This bowling alley in uptown Lowell, is a fun place to hang with friends or family. It has a GREAT kitchen, Maratha's Kitchen. It has great food and great deals. So next time you don't know what to do and your bored come here! Its cheap, $3 for kids and $2 for shoe rental.
