The Blair Work, as practiced here by the late Dr. E A Addington and now by Dr. Gordon Elder, has changed my life. It’s a method of chiropractic care that is extremely gentle and uses no twisting and jerking to manipulate or force the body into the proper place.
I’ve been under chiropractic care in some form for almost 50 years, but always found it to be really forceful and often contributed to the problems I was experiencing due to an inner tubing crash on the water and several minor car accidents and one big one in October of 1999.
Unfortunately, I now had 5 bulging discs, 2 of them in my neck and impinging on my spinal cord. I believed in chiropractic and sought care from my DC. It was making things worse. I went to another DC, also causing my pain to be much, much worse. Thankfully another chiropractor directed me to Dr. Addington at The Blair Clinic and it ultimately changed my life.
When I first saw Dr. Addington, I was in constant , severe pain. I worked, which was incredibly painful and lived for the moment I could go home and apply ice and take pain relievers. Then I would lie on the couch and not move , praying for some relief and sleep and the strength to do it again the next day.
What a difference a few months made and now 21 years of gentle chiropractic care, no Snap, Crack or Pop.

It has made ALL the difference in my quality of life!
Sadly, Dr. Addington has passed now but he chose the person he believed would be the best one to take care of his patience and his practice , Dr. Gordon Elder. It was the Absolute BEST choice he could have made. Dr. Elder practices The Blair Work and had additional, specialized training and mentoring by Dr. Addington himself. The Work and the practice are in great hands. Dr. Elder and his wife, Rut, are a wonderful team and are dedicated and committed to carrying on The Blair Work. I am beyond grateful for their dedication and care and I couldn’t be more pleased with the team at Blair Chiropractic Clinic!
