Provided by YP.comWhen right after buying my new home I found out this Company had bought my mortgage and I read the bad reviews I got really worried.
Now I was in a particular situation since my husband had just passed away, I thought we had an automatic debit from our bank account and... the November payment was never withdrawn!! I called to see what had happened. Kearned there was no direct oay set up. I was behind two months by then!! Penalty to be paid etc.
I called and this lady Tiffany answered she was extremely understanding and pleasant!
She immediately took out the almost $130.00 penalty and helped me set up my auto pay.
I promised I would write about her here. She really deserves it.
So I did. Great job Tiffany!

Provided by YP.comFIND ANOTHER MORTGAGE COMPANY,
The owners of Capital Mortgage Services, Lubbock, Tx., Royce & Linda Lewis are very GREEDY and try to MILK every last dime they can, from you and everyone involved in the entire process.
Be extremely wary of these people - they are the most dishonest people I have ever run across. They will look you in the eye and LIE !!
MONEY is their GOD !! They worship MONEY !! They will burn with the DEVIL !! Come to think of it, if you look real close - Royce and Linda Lewis look like SATAN, especially when they smile there devious smiles !!
HEED my advice and use another Lender -- YOU CANNOT TRUST ROYCE & LINDA LEWIS and CAPITAL MORTGAGE SERVICES in Lubbock, TX.

Provided by YPmobileRefinanced two years ago, loan was sold to these guys and it's been a nightmare ever since. Let's see I guess I'll start with the fact that they didn't pay my mortgage insurance out of my mortgage payments for months and I did not find this out until my insurance agent called me and asked if I wanted to add home owners insurance to our existing policy. Needless to say my jaw dropped when she had told me my HO policy had been cancelled for lack of payment and I had not had HOI for about 6 months. I immediately called CMS for an explanation and was transferred to the lady who was in charge of insurance named Corina who had as much knowledge as I did regarding the business. She proceeded to tell me that she just took over this department after whoever was in charge of it prior was let go ( sounded like she/he was fired for something inappropriate) possibly taking people's escrow money? Corina then proceeded to tell me that they put me on forced insurance (extremely expensive) and when asked why I was NEVER contacted by their company to tell me I was being placed on forced insurance I got no answer. After a month of haggling with these people I finally got that resolved with help from my insurance agent. No that's not the end. Since that time CMS has twice paid double payment to my insurance company so now instead of not paying they are overpaying which in turn causes me to get a check from my agent which I then have to send back to CMS to be credited back to my account. As if all of this stuff isn't enough it takes an act of god for someone to answer the phone at ANY extension and leaving a message is laughable, I have yet to receive a callback from anyone on any of the numerous issues I've had. I just had dumb luck twice and another time my insurance agent had to call them and demand that someone call back. I've had an escrow question that I've been trying to contact them for about a month now and have yet to receive ANY callback. Run Run Run from this company, it's so bad I would consider refi and paying a higher interest rate with another company just to leave these hacks!

Provided by YP.comThe Bible says “the borrower is slave to the lender." Wow that is true if you get involved with these people. I purchased a home with a loan from them in 2003. Get ready for all kinds of surprise "fees" and last minute changes. I felt like I got the shake-down when I closed this mortgage. Then every year the escrow was a nightmare, too high, too low, refund checks not cut as promised and statements that had errors. One year I got a statement that said I would get a $700.00 refund. I called to check because I knew that was wrong. And sure enough they had paid my taxes out of someone else’s account so mine account had a high balance. Now it is time to sell my home and my title guarantee company said that they couldn’t close the sale because Capital Mortgage would not release the loan payoff amount even with all the correct signed off releases that I had provided. I called and was rudely told that they would try to get it done but they couldn’t promise. Ten days notice and you can’t provide a payoff? Something is wrong with this place.
