I love this place! While reading previous reviews, I couldn't believe they were talking about clay cafe. I think everyone there truly enjoys working/painting/creating! I recently wanted to do a project for my husband's birthday using our kids handprints. The girls there were so helpful designing it with me and my husband actually loved it! It's his grill plate now. We made the hands into different ties and it said, "Dad is TIE-riffic!" Too cute! And they also helped keep it trendy with chevron and that Tiffany Blue color that's very in right now. Overall I had a wonderful experience. Those other reviews were written at least a year ago. People change. Places change. This place rocks now! Go try it out! You won't be sorry!!

This was the coolest place I've been to in a really long time. Living in Lubbock, there isn't always a lot to do, and painting pottery at the Clay Cafe was something different. I was surprised to read the other review... We had the best time and the employees were awesome, especially for a couple of first time painters. The owner was there that day also and made a point to come and check on us and even helped us with some painting tips. We have gone back a couple of times since then and have made plans to attend their "Diva Night". I can't believe that that other person had such a horrible time, kind of hard to believe that would happen.
