South Plains College, located in Lubbock, Texas, offers a range of educational and extracurricular programs to students. The college provides a number of educational options in academic transfer, technical education and work force education. The arts and sciences division comprises more than 10 academic departments and over 40 suggested programs of study. It confers the associate of arts and associate of science degrees. Students who complete the prescribed course of study may transfer to a four-year college or university to complete the junior and senior-level requirements for the baccalaureate degree. These degree programs are designed to be completed in two years of study. The college also offers the associate of applied arts degree, associate of applied science degree, certificate of proficiency and tech prep enhanced skills certificate.
