The lady that works in the evening (middle age) with glasses....is always very rude....however one time a month or so ago I finished my shopping and at check out I asked her for my cigarettes...proceeded to show her my ID and she refused to sell them because my license is expired...i then showed her the texas governors website where it states that expired licenses ARE valid during covid pandemic so long as the license was expired between march 2020 to current day because most dmvs are closed. Literally black and white print from the official government website. Also stating that all businesses, including banks must treat expired licenses as valid.

She called her manager over and he said being mine was expired for a few months(even though it was after march 2020 so valid according to state of texas) that I had plenty of time to have renewed it and still denied my cigerettes.

My license shows my birthday.
Im 28, 5 kids....they were giving me a hard time just because they could. Also, they are the ONLY place that has given me a hard time over it...everywhere else...including a bank I cashed a check at...accepted it


So it was pretty infuriating

This store finally got a new manager, it's always clean, products r always on the shelf & the workers r so friendly & very helpful.
