Received letter in the mail stating my 06 trailblazer has a factory recall on a door switch I call and set up an appt as stated in the letter to have an inspection to replace the switch. When I call I am told it should take about 45 mins to take the panel off to get to the switch and cross reference it to see if it is one that is under recall (simple enough). Morning I drop my car off I inspect my door panel, because I know how simple it is to crack or break the push tabs that hold it in place. I Drop vehicle off at 9:30 receive no call, at 1:30 I call to see if my wifes vehicle is ready for pick up and am told oh yeah come get it, your good to go we had to order you a switch. Drop my wife off with the vehicle so she can run some errands, she gets home around 8 and I take a look at her vehicle and the tab that holds the panel into place behind the side mirror is busted off and flapping and the plastic trim running along the bottom of the window is busted. Great looks like somebody did not want to be at work on Monday morning, huh? I return to this so called service dept. to address the issue and am rudely told we don't have to remove your door panel to check the door switch nobody touched your door panel, insanely rude. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Would not give me the time of day to explain I had examined my door panels prior to dropping my vehicle off, and also that just because you don't have to do something to complete a job doesn't mean your mechanic on Monday morning didn't have a lapse in memory and pulled the door panel off to get to the switch and maybe somebody say hey dude you don't have to do all that. Hope to hear from them to correct this situation but doubtful they were pretty hot headed that no one touched my door panel. But the fact is I have never removed them ever, and they were not broken before it went behind your doors. Would not recommend to my neighbor or friends, joke of a service dept. zero customer service skills in tough situations, failed to hear my side of anything it was the job doesn't require us to remove it and that's it, man I wish it was that simple but guess your not willing to even let the thought cross your mind that one of your techs made a mistake, well guess what were human and we all make mistakes and I put off taking my vehicle in for this stupid recall because I knew someone would break my door panel but stupid me made a mistake (because I'm human too) and thought I could trust my vehicle with the experts. I have installed every door speaker on every car I have owned because I know your average joe with a wrench isn't going to take the time to look at where every pop is and make sure to apply even pressure as to not snap a tab, because it is not theirs and they do not care. this is my wife's vehicle and I have not touched her door speakers or door panels to remove them since we purchased it three months ago,I hope they do the right thing, but not too optimistic, after reading other reviews about there service dept. not tightening oil filter and lug nuts on wheels, doesn't look like you have a spot less record and they are capable of making mistakes, and your customers aren't stupid and probably know their vehicles better than you do.

Will be contacting another dealership to get my door switch and installing it myself.

Will Gladly Share my experience with anyone that would like to hear, ([email protected]) Please do not give this service dept your hard earned money there are tons of reputable mechanics in town that will repair your car and fix what they break, maybe this place has gotten to big to be accountable for all of its mechanics and the consumer is the one that suffers.

GREAT PEOPLE!

My husband and I loved working with all of the gentleman involved at this dealership. They made us feel that they were trying to meet our needs rather than line their pockets with the sold car commission. They didn't push us in one way or another. I recommend them to anyone needing a vehicle! good job gentleman!
