The Luling after school program provides a safe place for kids to learn and grow every day after school. Statistics show that 15.1 million kids in America are left unsupervised after school, juvenile crime escalates between the hours of 3 and 7 pm and 3 out of 10 kids are obese or overweight (bgca.org). The club is open when kids need us most and provides a wide range of programming that equips members to beat these statistics. Members have access to programs in five core areas: Character & Leadership; Education & Career; Health & Life Skills; The Arts; Sports, Fitness & Recreation. These programs promote and enhance a sense of accomplishment and ability to make positive, healthy life choices.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central Texas also provides a free Summer Program at its Luling Extension sponsored by the City of Luling and the Economic Development Corporation. The children participate in a number of activities, both academic and recreational. Participants take part in fine arts, youth mentoring, sports and recreation, and character and leadership. While attending the program, children receive free snacks.

The Summer Program at the Luling Extension allows participants to play games and socialize, as well as participate in daily activities coordinated by BGCSCT staff. These activities include guest presentations, tournaments, competitions and Club programming. Club programming includes triple play, art and social recreation.
