Lumberton City Hall is located in Lumberton, N.C. It has more than 15 departments and a staff of nearly 400 that provides services and innovative programs to more than 20,000 citizens. The city attorney s office serves as legal counsel to the city council, staff, boards, commissions and committees of the city, legislative liaison for city with state and federal governments, prepares the departmental budget and oversees expenditures and supervises and administers land transactions. The city s manager office direct the activities of all city departments, develops productivity improvement and cost savings programs and reviews and revamps city policies, procedures and codes and recommends improvements and adjustments to the city council. Its other departments include electric utilities, emergency and environmental services, finance, fire, human resources, internal and public services, public works, recreation and tax departments.
