Please do not spend your money here. I have purchased hundreds of dollars of rc car and quad copter parts here over the years. Recently I purchased a $39 mini quad copter for my 10 year old son on a random trip for some spare parts for our homemade quad copter.



When we got home (30+ Miles away) we went to use the new quad copter and found it to be dead on arrival and not able to take a charge. So the next day a Sunday we take the trek back to exchange it again 30+ miles each way. We meet the same gentleman we purchased from less then 20 hours earlier. He says I don't know I have to check with the boss. Goes around and comes back and says sorry we have to contact the company first. Now at this point I am irate and ask to see the "boss". Again I get the same bs line we have to call to get a rm number so we can exchange and because it's Sunday we cant now, that's just how it works now.



Now when you are a retailer and you have 50+ of these sitting on the shelf here you need to do the right thing and exchange the unit. You take responsibility for your products you sell and deal with your rep or company sales person for returns later. It's not just the $39 that is at issue here it is the utter uncaring for the customer experience here. If you want to run your business on the backs of the customer you need to stand behind the products you sell.



Oh and thanks my 10 year old left in tears and hes out $39, of course I did the right thing and went to purchase another one on amazon and pay for the overnight shipping. Just wish you would have done the right thing in the first place. (Just for the record I am the guy that hopes to help keep small rc shops and other small business (I own one) like this in business vs all the online cheaper options)



Bottom line I will never shop at Recreation Depot again and I hope you heed my advice and go elsewhere. For me it was a $39 (I'll call it a loss) but lets be honest if you are into RC, you know you spend thousands of dollars on your rc cars, rc boats, rc quad copters, and the list goes on. Spend your money where you are appreciated and where the business stands behind the products they sell.

Retail is a customer first business

Wow! The staff at The Recreation Depot is awesome. Tony knows all of his customers by name and literally drops everything he is doing to provide his expertise and hands on assistance. I was new to RC modeling a little more than a year ago and Tony has personally schooled me to the point that I can build quality models. I vividly recall one teaching moment when we spent 2 hours together installing, tuning and running an engine in his shop. As with all things Tony does.... It has to be perfectly tuned!

The store has a lot of fun stuff, I was impressed when I walked in and saw everything they had. Prices are competitive, and the people were really nice. We let my son pick out his first RC car and the employees were very helpful. And their brown Doberman is incredibly adorable!

I am not sure what web site the last two posters where looking at but clearly the phone number and address are listed on the web site.I just had to say something.

I had my table recovered and new rubber put on by this store. They did a great job and was done in no time. large selection of felt colors even made my wife happy. I would highly recommend them Ryan the installer was a great guy.

WOW what great hobby shop. Loads of stuff. The shop around me was almost empty untill it finally closed. (what ashame I like that dude). Lucky I found this one. The guys in the store are good and offer lots of help. I drove 50 + miles to get here and would def return again.

huge selection. parts and advice for any plane or heli. they also service pool tables and have TON of accessories.

its the biggest hobby store i've ever been in....TONS of RC parts...and a huge selection of planes....id recommend visiting this store to anyone within 100 miles...and they even offer huge discounts on their website.

Great guy running the shop and employees, doesnt fell like im being robbed when i go in there, great prices, assistance, inventory, and its always fun to go in and look at all the cool stuff he has.

Great shop Large selection always has what I am looking for.

LARGE HOBBY SECTION WITH ALL THE COOL STUFF. ONE OF THE THINGS I LIKE IS THEY STOCK PARTS FOR WHAT THEY SELL. WHEN YOU CRASH AND BURN YOU DO NOT WANT TO WAIT TO ORDER PARTS. THE GUYS IN THE SHOP USE THE STUFF AND KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THE BIG GUY (SORRY DO NOT KNOW HIS NAME YET) IS LIKE A HOBBY GURU. IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN THERE I WOULD MAKE A TRIP.

Recreation Depot is the best hobby shop around. Very knowledgeable staff that is very helpful. The largest selection around and prices are great too. I would recommend recreation depot to anyone, if you have never been there you gotta stop in and check it out.
