Linkhorne Middle School serves students in grades six through eight in the state of Virginia. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, social studies, history, and health and physical education. Linkhorne Middle School also offers computer technology, gifted and special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. The school provides a range of sport activities, such as football, volleyball, cross country, tennis, basketball, soccer, and track and field. Linkhorne Middle School operates a library and cafeteria. The school is governed by Lynchburg City Schools which also operates several other elementary, middle and high schools. In addition, Lynchburg City Schools operates several special education and learning centers.
