Lynchburg Fence and Railing Company LLC a locally owned company was founded in 1986 by Richard L. Stockdale, better know by his nickname Al Stockdale. Mr. Stockdale has been in the fencing business consistently for over thirty years. Our employees and subcontractors are all English speaking legal citizens of the United States. They are for the most part family men with wives and children. We pay above average wages to our people so they may support their families and provide them with the status of live that they deserve. Our people are all subject to drug and alcohol abuse testing. The officers, employees and subcontractor are all local residents that support local businesses and the community. We purchase as much equipment, vehicles, materials and inventory locally or with in the state of Virginia as possible. Our goal is to give our customers the finest quality work and material available at a reasonable price. The reputation or Lynchburg Fence and Railing Company and that of Mr. Stockdale is well known. Not only in the Lynchburg area but thru out the state of Virginia. We deal with nationally known companies to provide you with the best material at the best price we can find. When we receive a request for an estimate, it is referred to our sales department. They follow up on it right away with a phone call to determine the exact needs of the customer. This prepares our staff with information so we can furnish the customer with the information they need to make their decision as to the type, style and configuration of their project. A personal appointment is then scheduled so that the necessary measurements and other information can be retained. This information is then used to make a itemized material list. That is sent to different suppliers to obtain the best quality material at the best price. The job is then discussed with our master craftsman and may require a personal visit to get their opinion on the job, before a price is arrived at.

We used Lynchburg Fence & Railing Company llc to install a chain link fence around our back yard. We were pleased overall with the final product and the price of the job. There were, however, a couple of issues that prevent me from giving them five stars instead of four. Firstly, they did not always listen to us. I worked out a configuration with the owner, communicated it to the workers, and on some pieces they still did what they preferred instead of what I wanted. Secondly, though they finished the job quickly, they came to me after dark to say it was ready to go. Having watched the progress I knew there was a huge gap under one gate and they did not mention it. The fence was for our dogs, so that was unacceptable. However, they came back the next day and added a custom piece that was both aesthetically pleasing and functional for no extra charge. Because of this I can recommend them to do a good job at a fair price. There was simply more hassle than was necessary.

My wife and I found Lynchburg Fence and Railing Company, to be helpful, professional and did a beautiful job on our fence. The salesman was polite and took the time to explain every detail of the many kinds of fence they had to offer. They invited us to their showroom and made helpful sujestions. To be honest Lynchburg Fence was not the lowest estimate on our fence project. We had five estimates from five five different companies. Even though the price that Lynchburg fence and railing gave us was a little higher than three of the estimates. My wife and I decided to go with them anyway. We felt secure in dealing with a company that was rated as highly as Lynchburg by the BBB. We are glad we did, Lynchburg fence gave us a excellent job, done by professioal workmen. We feel that we got our money's worth and more. If we ever have another need for fencing or railing. We will only need one estimate. That will be from Lynchburg Fence and Railing Co.

My husband and I had been taken to the cleaners by another fence company. We had given the other company $3850 down to install a $7000 fence. Then we didn't hear from them again. Lynchburg Fence and Railing came to our resque and did a wonderful job installing our fence at a loss to them. They were under no obligation to help us and our money for the down payment was gone. We are so grateful for the honesty and integrity of Lynchburg Fence and Railing. The better business bureau told us that Lynchburg Fence and Railing had also helped a couple other families that had been cheated out of there money by the other company. I am happy to report that the company that cheated us is no longer doing business in the Lynchburg area. Thank you, Lynchburg Fence for helping us in our time of need. God bless you.
