Couldn't have had a better experience with Tomlin & Associates. Rented from them for two years at two locations (Forestside and Hunter Ridge) and it was always a pleasure to work with Cheryl and the Tomlin team. They genuinely want you to enjoy your apartment — no "surprise inspections", no nickel-and-diming, no hassles whatsoever. I always felt like management was on my side, not trying to take advantage of me (looking at you, Langley). The few times our apartment needed a repair, maintenance always took care of it same-day. Emails and phone calls always answered promptly and professionally; exterior groundskeeping and painting regularly maintained; parking lots always snow plowed in the winter. Bottom line: this is how renting an apartment should be. Tomlin & Associates work hard for you and make their properties feel like your home.

This property (Timber East Apartments) is managed by Margie. She was always very helpful. The complex is kept VERY clean. The master bedroom is spacious. Our neighbors were normally quiet and kept to themselves. HUGE bathroom in the two-bedroom apartments. LOTS of cabinet space. We had vaulted ceilings & a sky light window-- beautiful. It's really a great deal for the money! It is a little out-dated looking (I think it was built in the '90s). Ours had some nasty old carpet, but it was just ugly, not dirty. My only complaint is with the maintenance man. Tomlin promises 24 hour emergency maintenance (as well as day-time routine maintenance). There was always something wrong with the toilet the entire time we lived there. Even if you just flushed a bowl full of clean water, it would clog. The plunger was our friend. One morning, my husband and I were in the kitchen making breakfast and we heard water running. I walked to the bathroom door and the toilet was overflowing all over the floor & out into the kitchen. Gross. What made it even worse was that the water backing up was NOT clean and it was NOT from us. There was feces & bits of toilet paper overflowing onto our bathroom floor. We immediately called Margie. She sent the maintenance man out straight away. Instead of just fixing the toilet, he accused us of "using too much toilet paper" and proceeded to give us instructions as to how to wipe after using the restroom. It was insulting and uncalled for. We hadn't even used the bathroom-- we were toasting bagels in the kitchen when it happened. The toilet was messed up the whole time we lived there & instead of investigating the problem, he kept treating us like some kind of heathen folks who don't know how to wipe. Well, we bought our own house and moved out and guess what-- our toilets have never leaked or clogged here (and our house is a few years older than the apartment). Overall (maintenance man aside), it was a great place to live. Very affordable! Safe area.
