Took our BMW to Lakewood Foreign Car by chance. We had just spent almost $7,000 on repairs at Northwest German in Lynnwood, WA. They had our car for a rediculous amount of time, over 1 week, and everytime the phone rang, they seemed to find something else that needed fixed, and it was never a cheap quote. Being stupid and not getting a second quote, we agreed to most repairs, but did not know we were dealing with a company that we could not trust. Finally we got our car back. It was not even 2 days since receiving our car from NW German and we had problems. We just happened onto Lakewood Foreign Car because it was by our hotel, and from that day, we thank our lucky stars. We showed them what was happening and what we were seeing in our 'just repaired, $7,000' car. After showing them the invoice from NW German, they rechecked the repairs that were supposed to be done and some had ongoing issues already, and, after showing us things like on-going oil leak into the valves, which we just paid to have done with new seals, and leaking transmission plug, and we just paid for a transmission service, and leaking hoses that were never found, in full view, too, etc., we just couldn't believe our eyes. We felt raped! so, upon our request, we asked what they would have charged for the whole invoice, so they pulled an invoice out for similiar work they had recently done and it showed about 1/3 of the cost that we paid for the whole job!! THEIR INVOICE COPY SAID $2,700!! HE WAS STUNNED AT THE PRICE THAT THEY CHARGED US. NW German really took us! The owner of Lakewood Foreign Car showed us all the issues that we paid to have fixed and were not and issues that SHOULD have been fixed, but were not, and we took pictures, because he did not want to touch what they 'said' they had done, and instructed us to take the car back to them and have them fix under their warranty. We had asked him if HE could fix BECAUSE WE NEVER WANTED TO GO BACK TO THEM AGAIN and he refused because he said you just paid all this and you need them to make it right. You could see that this man was the real deal...an honest company...others probably would have said OK, I'll fix and then charged us...but he said NO. The owner, Peter, was extremely honest and we felt that finally we have found somone for our BMW that would not charge an arm and a leg for servicing and found a person we could trust with what he said....a REAL MAN OF PRINCIPLE. After bringing the car back to NW GERMAN, they kept the car for 2 days and insisted that they couldn't find any issues, even though we saw the issues with our own eyes and took pictures. Funny thing, when we received the car back from them, all the issues were fixed, but with their insistance that they could not find anything. Since that time, we had other issues addressed at Lakewood Foreign Car, and one was the AC, which NW German did not find, but when our AC stopped working 2 days later ( ALONG WITH THE OTHER ISSUES), we knew that we would not return ever again to NW German. Lakewood Foreign Cars installed a new AC, fixed other issues that they found, including the leaking hoses, filthy clogged air filters, burnt out lights, etc., and we were out the door with very little money spent. You see, we had just purchased this car and asked NW German to go over everything and it was so obvious that they did NOT and what they did find was ONLY expensive thing. The thing that rang so true is the honesty of these people at Lakewood Foreign Auto and the excellent mechanics they have. The service was fast and so much cheaper then any BMW dealer would have charged. WHEN YOU ARE CHARGED 'BY THE BOOK' VS. HOURS WORKED, WHO CAN BE A WINNER? ONLY THOSE CHARGING BY THE BOOK. I brought my Audi TT Convertible to Northwest German Car Repair for an oil change. When I walked in, not only was I greeted by the owner, but when I explained that I needed an oil change, they assured me that even though I did not have an appointment, they would squeeze me in. Many other shops that I have been to have tried to hustle me into other repairs but this shop was very honest and told me what was going on. I also got to talk to the technician who was doing the work on my car. They even offered a shuttle service to get me back to work, Plus they sent me away with a gift bag and coffee. I will definitely be coming back here! Thanks Northwest German :)

Northwest German is a great shop! I took my BMW in for regular maintenance. They did an inspection and ran diagnostics and found a problem that I didn't know about, it would have left me on the side of the road with a towing bill. Northwest German fixed the problem right away and I was back on the road with my BMW running better than it had in a long time. Thanks so much, you guys are great!
