Riverstone is all about the vendors. The vendors word is gold. The vendors word is more important than the customers. They have the fine print to prove it! Your "feelings" or proof of something don't matter. They have giant, corporate lawyers. You're just another jerk. A number in the system. Interpersonal skills are so 1990's man. We hire only the best people who look good in business casual.

My girlfriend and I moved out of one of their properties not too long ago: Platinum Lakeline Apartments in Austin, TX. We were charged $800 for carpet replacement. Uh, what? They told us that we had to pay it and that our photos "didn't matter" because of some fine print.

They pulled the old "it was under the carpet" routine that these places usually go to when this happens. It's very slippery.

We moved out on the 16th. But we know that someone moved into our old place on the 21st. I'd bet my $800.00 that they sent us a bid from a third party. I'm also willing to bet they don't have proof either. But they'll send you email attachments and everything with highlighted words and blah, blah, blah.

A rock and a hard place. That's where you will be. Since most don't want to deal with it anymore, you'll end up paying out the wazoo and being angry.

Since giant corporations aren't moved by reviews such as this and they probably don't care to read them, I'd like to say the following:

I hope the CEO of this place gets fired for embezzling millions. A giant Ponzi-scheme that rains down below on the entire infrastructure, shattering the families of hundreds of employees. Children crying and babies without fathers. That's what I'm driving at here.

It is my dying wish that they tear the building down and replace it with a restaurant. At least in a restaurant I can talk directly to someone without having to go through a maze of phone systems.

I don't like you. If you work there, I probably don't like you. I am a dissatisfied customer. Please take head and don't use their services. For the LOVE OF PETE DON'T DO IT. Also: not wheelchair accessible.

Beware!

Basically the worst place we've ever had to deal with...this property management company sent us a bill after we moved out with an itemized list of everything we were being charged for...the cleaning costs consisted of over 600 dollars with things such as blinds cleaned, flor swept and mopped etc...we left the place in excellent condition. Called to complain and the company sent us pictures of what the apt looked like when they did a walk through. In the pictures everything is clean!! I asked why we were still getting charged and the rude lady could give no explanation. Just that if we hadn't cleaned wed be charged even more. She was the rudest girl I've ever spoken to, basically they're going to rip you off as much as you can and they know it. Unless you've ever moved out and been charged 600 in cleaning things you've cleaned, you don't want to move into one of their properties. Check before you rent people! All these negative reviews all over the internet are not for no reason.

Riverstone Residential Group h...

Riverstone Residential Group has made a deal with Experien, the credit reporting company, to provide your (all Riverstone properties are being mined for this data) data as a renter in real-time rent payment habits, etc. This means that your rental and personal identification data is immediately turned over to the credit reporting agency in real time. What this means is that they did not receive prior permission to do this with your rental data. This data immediately impacts your credit score. It appears that they are selling your data and your rent payment habits as those habits occur. They are now the largest seller of rental data which occurs in real time, not after you move out. That information immediately, while you reside at a Riverstone property, either positively or negatively, impacts your credit report. As a RRG renter, were you informed of this? The knowledge that your data is being sold is going to be used to coerce you into paying your rent more timely---however, Riverstone is making money off your data to Experien---it is sure that they are not donating it out of their own goodwill. How many times have you experienced office managers in the property management industry who 1. erroneously enter your data 2. do not follow up with system updates 3. make errors and then blame you 4. do not correct the errors in a timely manner to prevent those errors being loaded into Experien's real time tracking system 5. mischarge and while you are battling the erroneous charges they will have already uploaded the errors into Experien's system. Don't rent at Riverstone property, they are mining your data and do not have the infrastructure in place to ensure that your data is current, up to date, and accurate.
