I had brought my Lincoln Navigator to these people...I requested a diagnosis for my transmission issues it was stuck in 2nd gear and the computer code showed it was having a problem communicating with the transmission module, He had printed up a diagnosis that I needed to replace the transmission and a new transmission control module the repair was for $2,450.00 ...
In addition I had requested a diagnosis for a ticking sound in my engine..he had diagnosed it as it needed a new timing chain and an estimate of another $2,000.00 to replace the timing chin
In addition I requested a quote to redo my a/c system which was another 400.00 totaling 4,806 dollars..
i had a feeling that this was way out my budget and declined the work ..paid my 80.00 for the diagnosis
I brought it to another mechanic in Austell and the problem was some wiring going from my computer to the transmission was sitting on the manifold and had melted had it repaired for 200.00 and transmission is running like a charm
the timing chain was not the timing chain it was it was the intake cam shaft..had that repaired for 300.00....not sure how you can charge someone for a diagnosis and be so off...either he was stupid or he thought I was stupid...either way he won't ever work on any car on mine!!
