I had no idea that I would be writing a Funeral Home review this week.

As one of my lifelong buddies since 1964, his daddy passed away & the viewing was here tonight.

When Lee-Elena Funeral Home , opened around 2008 , I read all of the articles in the Macomb Daily of how it was built with the guests/clients/families in mind.

I also saw countless advertisements as well ,proclaiming the same.

Well I was very impressed!!

I mean this as a very sincere compliment,it reminded me of the Capital Grill.

Inviting foyer, generous hallways, multiple gathering rooms with overstuffed chairs & couches. The cafe/gathering space where you can set up food/desserts/snacks/ beverages.

The Fireplace & the viewing rooms all seemed like an Uncles Lodge Up North.

Plus 2-3 outdoor patios, children's rooms 2 chapels & state-of-the-art wireless, audio and video technology

Heather was the greeter on staff & provided excellent service/skills that reflected a concierge.

I came home tonight, and told the bride, I think I found my final resting place.

Love that the owners set out with a vision, captured & exceeded it!

My husband had passed away in November this year 2011 and at this very difficult time in my life I had to looking for a nice place to have his service. When I went on line and then to the building it self, I found it to be beautiful! I also like the other areas that they have. The out side areas and the kids room, also the other rooms thru-out.It like a big house. The service room had lots of space and different sitting areas. The staff was very kind to my family and I. I felt every thing was done well. My husband looked nice also. The flowers where beautiful. The service went very well. I had a hard time finding my husband discharge papers from the navy. They worked with the vets and had them out, with the 21 gun salute and taps. It was beautiful and I felt my husband would have been very happy! with his going away celebration. I miss him so much! But this made it a little better, knowing he was and I and my family was taken care of., Thank you to the Staff and owner. Mrs. Hand

I recently attended a funeral here, and the building was amazing. They literally have thought of everything here and your not stuck in a dark dungeon of a place. My long time friend looked wonderful, and the staff were polite and knowledgeable.
