Idle Hour Country Club, located in Macon, Ga., was formerly the Log Cabin Club. The Log Cabin Club was organized in 1890 and was sold in 1912. Town members then purchased a farm outside of Macon, Ga., called Idle Hours and built the Idle Hour Country Club. The club has existed through financial peril, war and the Great Depression. The country club offers a golf course, a mixture of aesthetics, swim and tennis facilities, and a clubhouse.
