Friendly and helpful. Took a mower to them for repair and had it back very quickly despite it being a busy time of year.

Terrible!!! Had the mower twice and said it worked fine,WRONG.
Think they have Gomer Pyle from the Andy Griffith Show working on the mowers. Then want to get paid for doing nothing.

I have an older cub cadet riding mower, it is an 2006 model. It got to where I could not steer it due to worn out steering column. Called Outdoor Power and they came and picked it up the next day at the exact time they told me. I was told it would be a week before they could get to it, but they delivered it back to me in 6 days, again at the exact time they told me. It is an 12 year old mower and it now drives and cuts like a brand new one. They even fixed other minor issues with the mower without any extra charges. I am very pleased. R.

Took my dad's mower to them to diagnose/repair. At drop-off they said there was a $100 deposit. OK, we paid the deposit understanding any repairs would be deducted from the deposit. Approx 2 weeks later they called and said it was ready. They said they couldn't find anything wrong with it & said the $100 would cover it. ??? Cover what??? When we went out to load it up, they couldn't get it started! They said they needed to keep it longer and look some more. Another week &they said it was ready. We get there and they claim they replaced the battery and checked the wiring as it wouldn't hold a charge. We had tested the battery prior to taking it. They charged an additional $85 for the battery. We get home & it won't run! They charged a senior citizen on a fixed income $185 and the mower still wasn't repaired. When I called back to complain, they advised we could bring it back... AS IF! We got it repaired elsewhere and it was the carburetor, not the battery at all!

Really bad

The throttle cable was broke on my Yardman riding mower plus the carb wasn't working right. I asked them to fix them. They replaced the cable and got the carb running better but still skipping some. They charged me $211.37 for the work. They said that when they test drove the tractor the deck drive belt fell off so they replaced it. They also said that the rear belt bracket was bent and needed replaced. The deck worked fine before it went into their shop plus I never authorized them to do the work. Never had a problem with the deck before it went in their shop. Also, belt brackets are made of steel and are non moving parts. They don't get bent on their own, someone or something has to bend them. The estimate for repairing the deck was $275. After the less than adequate work on the carb plus the fact that the deck was broke while it was in their shop I wasn't going to allow them to do the work especially not at my cost. Now I have a poorly running carb and a broken deck. I wouldn't recommend Macon Outdoor Power to anyone.

bad service

We took our Sears rider in for servicing as it would not start. Macon Outdoor Power soaked and built the carburater and performed other maintenance. After picking up and bringing home the rider, it still was very hard to start, and once started, would not cut off. We took the rider back to Macon Outdoor Power because in addition to not starting, it was leaking gas. They charged us for a new carburater and at pick up, they had a hard time starting it, but it finally did start and once again we brought it home. Once home, it still would not start and was still leaking gas all over the place. After having spent $411.89 for repairs and it still not working, we took it to a small engene repair shop and found that the "new" carburater had a dry rotten gasket and had not been replaced, only cleaned up. I would not recommend Macon Outdoor Power for repair work.
