I love this doctors office! I have been going here for 3 years and they are awesome! Delivered my son and it was wonderful!

The service you can expect from the doctors at Midwives of Macon is not only poor, but if you are forced to take your small children with you to their office, you run the risk of being bullied by their physicians. 



On July 23, 2015, I went in for my 36 week appointment. I had to bring my two and four year old children with me. After waiting 45 minutes, an employee finally began to ask me an insurance question. I was tired and my children were rowdy from being there for so long, so I asked how long it would be until the midwife could see me. At this point i was informed that the midwife was assisting with a delivery. I was stressed from not only having to wait but having to deal with children desperately in need of  naps.

I was almost in tears and told the receptionist I needed to reschedule, at which point Dr. Durso came into the waiting room and starting berating me on my inability to control two tired little children. 



Never in my life had I been so humiliated by someone claiming to be a professional. Was I upset? Obviously, but the lack of empathy from a physician's office who deals with pregnant women on a daily basis is completely unacceptable. 



To make matters worse, it seems as though if you don't beat your children into submission for acting out at the Midwives of Macon office, the doctor's office will call Child Protective Services on you. Now not only am I forced to find a new physician to birth my child at 37 weeks pregnant, but I've now had to hire an attorney because I do NOT instill enough fear into my small children.



Run from Midwives of Macon, for they are not in the business of helping build families. The doctors at Midwives of Macon are capricious and will go out of their way to separate your family.

They are personable and make you feel like their only patient of the day. They answer any and all questions without making me feel uneducated. I love them!

The nurses are helpful, efficient and kind and the doctors go out of their way to make your appointment as painless and enjoyable as going to the gyno can be. Overall top service!
