HOW OUR winners are SELECTED SCORING for ALL AGE DIVISIONS OPENING number 10% - ALL AGE divisions are required to wear either white pants. Shorts or a skirt along with your choice of ANY bright color SHIRT/TOP that best suits YOU. EVENING gown competition 35% - mini and petite divisions only MAY choose to wear either a long or a short dress for this competition. ALL other AGE divisions are required to wear a long DRESS. ON-STAGE speech 20% - mini and petite divisions only will BE required to SAY their name and their Hometown. ALL other AGE divisions are required to recite a speech. NO longer than 20 seconds on the topic of "MY life ambition". Points will BE deducted for overtime. Highest optional competition Score 35% - the highest schore achieved by the contestant from their optional competition(s) will BE added to their overall Score for the title of miss northern maine or miss Aroostook 2014 in their respective AGE division. Optional competition choices include: talent. Modeling and photogenic. Contestants MAY select to participate in ONE. TWO or ALL three optional events. Pageant entry FEE: $125 before MAY 1ST $149 after MAY 1ST. Deadline to enter: june 18th the COMPETITION MISS northern maine & miss AROOSTOOK "PREPARING & participating is just SO much FUN". Optional COMPETITIONS HIGHEST Score accounts for 35% optional competitions are a wonderful opportunity to showcase your individual ability and creativity in these areas of competition. Contestants are required to participate I AT least ONE optional competition. PHOTOGENIC: ONE photograph CAN BE entered. Black & white or color. 5 X 7 or 8 X 10 are accepted. Photo must NOT BE in a frame. Have contestant name and AGE on the back and submitted AT REGISTRATION. TALENT: time limit is TWO minutes. Please DO NOT exceed that limit AS points will BE deducted for overtime. Please hand in CD AT registration with contestant's name and AGE clearly INDICATED. MODELING: routine should BE NO longer than ONE minute. Music is provided by the pageant. Outfit CAN BE casual. Sportswear or formal wear of your CHOICE. OPTIONAL entry fees: photogenic.
